Jörg Jakobs, Frank Schaefer and Holger Stanislawski
Between 2002 and 2009 Jörg Jakobs worked in diverse positions such as Alemannia Aachen's assistant manager. 2010 he switched to Hannover 96 to work successfully as their leading talent scout. Jakobs, who has graduated at the German Sport University of Cologne, will coordinate the transfers and, consequently, the strategic planning of the club's first team squad. In this function he will, in cooperation with Frank Schaefer, Holger Stanislawski and the executive board, coordinate the composition of the first team squad. Resulting from this, Jörg Jakobs will be responsible for scouting and transfers as well.
In the course of his long-term service Frank Schaefer has been through all the different squads of the club from the youth sections to the first team. He knows the procedures, players and co-workers well. Being head of the club's sports section he develops the concept for the club's overall strategy. He works closely with the coaching staff and the team, is in charge of the youth section. In particular he coordinates the transition of young talents from the youth squads to the first team. Moreover, Frank Schaefer, together with Jörg Jakobs, Holger Stanislawski and the executive board, works on the planning of the composition of the first team.
President Werner Spinner explained the decision: "Jörg Jakobs, Frank Schaefer and Holger Stanislawski will form our ruling triumvirate at our sports section. With this trio we are determined to implement the new beginning at our club. This solution means the pooling of our club's professional football knowledge in connection to precious experience from outside the club. Furthermore, we will spread clear and tailor-made responsibilities. Jörg Jakobs, Frank Schaefer and Holger Stanislawski share our ideals based upon a flat hierarchy. In the future all decisions concerning transfers and the composition of our team will be made in accordance with our executive board and with the consensus of this competent triumvirate."
