Dominic Maroh moves from Nuremburg to Cologne

"Making FC successful again"

Central defender Dominic Maroh switches with the beginning of the 2012|13 season from 1. FC Nuremburg to 1. FC Cologne. The club and the 25-year-old have agreed on a two year contract.

Frank Schaefer, head of sports commented on this decision: 'Dominic meets all our requirements. He is a player with a four-year experience in particular in the Bundesliga but also in Germany's second division. With FC Nuremburg he has already achieved promotion. As a central defender Dominic is not only a physically strong player but he also has the required playing ability. He thirsts for this challenge at our club. Therefore, we are confident that Dominic will become a cornerstone of our defence.'

Dominic Maroh about his new role at 1. FC Cologne: 'I know the situation at 1. FC Cologne from my own personal experience and I am very excited to play for this traditional club. The conversations that we had were very good and together with the team I will do my best to reach our goal of making FC successful again.'
